IPSHK members visited Axis Communications Limited, a network technology company offering solutions in physical security on October 13, 2023. With Axis’s meticulous planning, IPSHK members firstly were introduced to ‘The six technology trends affecting the security sector in 2023’ presented by Axis Key Account Manager, Jacky Ng. Then, IPSHK members attended the Axis Experience Centre, which demonstrates how the advanced version of CCTV connected with network system helped collect data for analytics in traffic management, visitor management, and the reinforcement of physical security measures. We thank you for IPSHK members for their support in this event and for the closing remark from our Chairperson, Dannies Ho. Additionally, we are grateful for all preparation by Axis team, including Dorothy Chow, Shirley Sin, Jacky Ng, Carrie Lai, Ken Lam, and Gian Yip.

IPSHK liaised with New World Development Company Limited and Huawei International Company Limited (Huawei) for visiting Huawei’s headquarters in Shenzhen and its Operation Centre in Dongguan on June 30. Our members were impressed with how Huawei’s technology development enhances our lives and the technology as well as the innovation growth. We paid a visit to its Operation Centre in Dongguan and also the Exhibition Centres in Shenzhen, which widen our horizons on the Digitalisation of data Infrastructure, Security control service and let us understand how the cloud enables greater strategic innovation outcomes. Besides exploring the hi-tech area of Huawei, IPSHK members travelled to Huawei Park and saw the amazing scenery at Songshan Hu. The avant-garde painting, ‘Qingming River Scene’ at Huawei Library appeal to our members. We all enjoyed the sumptuous meal served in Huawei’s VIP restaurant, whose food and service was comparable to a six-star hotel. The whole trip preparation was engraved in all participants’ memory. IPSHK holds seminars from time to time, including the recently held CPO ConneXion Cocktail Party. At the seminar, we are honored to have the participation of our guest speakers - KOS Senior Manager, Jason Li and Chief Strategy Officer, Eric Ng Billy Lai; sharing his views on how has the job market transformed after epidemic; and the new generation’s perception of the procurement industry. Our CPO members had the chance to participate in an interesting and insightful conversation.

Kyocera team led by Mr Cardiff Chan, Managing Director organised a very well-planned visit to IPSHK members. Starting from the introduction of Kyocera Philosophy, we are impressed with the life principles - ‘living in a right way as a human being’ and ‘serving the greater good of Humanity and the World’. Then, IPSHK are introduced with Kyocera’s Document Solutions Technology Application, Cloud Base Solution Application and also its practice in Environmental, Social, and Governance Application (ESG). It is a fruitful trip to all of us as we could learn the new solutions that can fit not only the large-scale corporation, but also Small-Medium Sized enterprises. We could experience how Kyocera team walks the talk and bring the Kyocera principles to life!
